  • Landowners should opt in to hosting the pipeline and they should not be pressured, bullied, or forced through the land condemnation and eminent domain process to give up their property.
  • Landowners should not be required to sign away their right of refusal for future uses of the right of way beyond those specified in the original easement.
  • Owners should receive ongoing compensation for the use of their land in proportion to the value of the gas (or other fuel) transported by the pipeline to the companies, towns, and large clients like IP.
  • Landowners should not sign any VT Gas related documents without speaking to a lawyer.
